Off to the Wildflower Center in Austin Dec. 5th and 6th
We set up our display for the Wild Ideas show in Austin at the Wildflower Center today. We worried about the forecast for snow flurries and slick roads today and tomorrow but we had little to worry about as the snow was light and fluffy and very sparse on the drive up and as we set up the show. The sun was shining by the time we left to return home. The show runs from 9 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Saturday and Noon to 5 P.M. on Sunday.
The Wild Ideas show is one we look forward to each year and this year is no exception. We will have a nice selection of original little wildflower paintings. Along with the original art we will have reproductions of many of Linda's larger wildflower paintings on keepsake boxes, mugs, ornaments, ceramic tiles and of course plenty of wildflower note cards. We have extras of the special wildflower Christmas cards that Linda designs each year to add one more special Texas touch to your gift giving.
We are in great company with a slew of fellow artists that have their own creative artwork on display with us and I thought I would share them with you.
Wildflower Days - 2010 official artist Julia Webber
Maggie Hanus - Wild Texas Soap Bar
Shou Ping - paper art
Peggy Thompson - wildflower linens and apparel

Smith Sisters Pottery - pottery
Nicole Telkes - tea & therapy

Along with all these great artists the store at the Wildflower Center has book signings, shopping specials and many other special activities as well as other great gift ideas. So swing by this weekend if you get a chance. We are sure you will walk away with something wonderful for a loved one or for yourself. Until next we meet this is David filling in for Linda.
